Mahiii,
An everyday man who went on to be popularly known as the ‘Captain Cool’ is none other than our very own Indian Men’s (ODI & T20s) Cricket Team Captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni or simply known as Dhoni.
Let’s see what this boy from ranchi can do – Ravishastri
#1. Under his captaincy, Indian team won major tournaments in all 3 formats: the No.1 Test ranking for 18 months (2009-2011), the ODI World Cup in 2011, Champions Trophy in 2013 and the Twenty20 World Cup in 2007.
#2. Only skipper to score an ODI century while batting at No.7
#3. First Indian wicket-keeper batsman to score 4,000 Test runs.
#4. Highlight score by an Indian captain in Tests (224 runs).
#5. 3rd skipper ever to have captained in 300+ international matches, after Ricky Ponting (324) and Stephen Fleming (303).
#6. The only skipper to have captained 50+ matches in all 3 formats.
#7. First Indian captain to win a Test series in New Zealand.
#8. In July 2018, he made the record of maximum stumpings in Twenty20 Internationals (33 stumpings in 91 matches).

And he did this…..He is never our former captain….he is the only captain. He came, he saw, he conquered. These words are the very least one can associate with Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his performance thus far in international cricket. By placing the ball behind the square through to the third man boundary for a single, he recently achieved the milestone of making 10,000 ODI runs.
Is our love for MSD just due to his success ??
NO! NO! NO! not at all. I know MS Dhoni has had a very successful career. He has won India all the 3 ICC tournaments with his great captaincy, he has won us many games with his batting skills, he had made India the number 1 test side and so many other things……. He is so dependable that we can’t imagine an side now without MS Dhoni. But I can assure you that this love that we have for him is not just due to this success of his.“MSD has give us an invaluable thing which is known as ‘happiness’ due to which we love him so much”
Sonuuuu,
Very rarely do we get a heading in an article of a sports person as ” Early struggles” but such was Suresh Raina’s life.
Risabh Pant played a gem of an innings but he got out just before 100.
Again comes our team man Suresh Raina to console Risabh.
Virat makes a hundred, but even before he celebrates, Suresh Raina
starts celebrating for him!!
Whenever India gets a wicket , Raina who usually fields at cover , extra-cover or in the 30 yard circle , will always be the first one to run towards the bowler and celebrate his wicket .
For me , No matter how does he perform or is he selected or dropped , but cricket seriously needs such guys who lifts the tag of so called The Gentleman’s Game . A selfless cricketer , a Stylish Fielder and above all , a responsible Sportsman . Keep it up Raina..!! Cheers..
We will definitely miss you guys….love u to the moon🤍
